Scrapheap Challenge was an engineering game show ­ broadcast on Channel 4 in the UK. In the show, teams of contestants had 10 hours in which to build a working machine that could complete a specific task, using materials available in a scrapheap. The format was exported to the United States, where it was known as Junkyard Wars.

Atticus produced a series of animations to help the viewers understand the principles behind the vehicle build and the end task they needed to perform. This short, but concise animation was designed to inform mainstream audiences whilst remaining entertaining.

Atticus animated the opening and closing title sequences.Teams of scrap-happy bodgers build madcap vehicles, using parts scavenged from the Scrapheap, to drive across some of the wildest terrain in the UK.
